Oui. Let me write it in English as it is too complicated for me in French for now... There are two kinds of PSS, congenital and acquired. The second one is not genetic (probably), but the first one - unfortunatelly - is. Not only in Irish Wolfhounds, also in Cairn Terriers, Yorkshire Terriers - that is published science, but similar observations are for German Shepherds, Labradors and others. It exists as a genetic disease also in human, cats... this is what I know. It is rather impossible, that Belgians have different background.
But - what is important - I have been asking people linked with Belgians in several countries since Venja's onset of the disease and for now, NOBODY told me that he/she met this disease (proved by vets) in Belgians. It means that prevalence is very, very low.
Anyway... if you heard about such case in Belgians, please, let me know!!!
A présent, Venja mange spécial hepatic nourriture et se conduit si normal, sain Berger Belge! Mais, elle va avoir la arteriographie le 27/08/2008, et après, l'opération....
